A: Welcome! We’re so excited to have you begin your journey with us. It’s important to start slow and listen to your body as you go. All of our classes are adaptable to all levels but if you are looking to begin with a gentle class— you could try Slow Flow Yoga or a Yin Yoga class—where you’ll focus on basic postures, gentle dynamic flow and breathing. For Pilates, you can begin with mat pilates or studio pilates, every class focuses on foundational movements to strengthen and stabilize with options too add in extra challenges or leave them out. It’s all about your personal journey on the mat so we have a ‘do what feels best for you philosophy. It’s not as much about being flexible or how you look, but what you learn as you flow & breathe. Both practices can be incredibly rewarding and complement each other well, so feel free to mix and match classes based on how you’re feeling each day. And always remember: every body is different, and there’s no rush. Take it one step at a time and honor your own pace. We’re here to support you, so never hesitate to ask questions or let the instructor know if you need modificatios.
